The Practical Dictionary of Mechanics - 8 Volumes, 1880s, by Edward H Knight, Cassel, Petter, Galpin &  Co, Boston

This extraordinary 8-volume dictionary is the British transatlantic edition of Edward Knight's American Mechanical Dictionary published around 1880 for the British market. The level of detail, illustrations, source references and descriptions is of such high standard that once again, we see how high civilisation was riding but a mere 150 years ago, and how much we have forgotten. The volumes will be added here for download as the book scanning progresses.

Wireless - by P.J. Risdon, 1923, Ward, Lock & Co Ltd, London

A phenomenal book describing wireless technology as it already existed in 1923 including clear descriptions of the ether theory and Einstein's theory of relativity, and explaining how Einstein's theory may have been erroneously or intentionally used to erase the ether theory. Both theories remain unconfirmed even 100 years later. But the entire wireless technology fundamentals, including remote control of ships and aircraft was already in existence at that time, and this technology was based entirely on the ether theory. Exceptionally user-friendly book.

Dictionary of Arts, Sciences and Manufactures - by G Francis, 1842, W.Brittain : London

A superb dictionary written especially for students, and those individuals interested in building a sound knowledge of scientific, artistic and architectural fundamentals. Beautifully written, wonderful definitions and many eye-openers. In my view it gives a glimpse into the sheer quantity of scientific knowledge which was known centuries ago, and either now forgotten or suppressed.
